#NOFOMO With the Help of Target

Perhaps it’s the emphasis today’s society puts on looking perfect in that bikini and the snapshots we are constantly inundated with on social media.

But you know what? It’s time to get over that anxiety! As a 25-year-old gal who has grown an abundance of confidence (in large part thanks to you, my amazing readers!), I want to share with you how I am getting over my fears and anxiety of swimsuit weather. Let’s be honest: How many of you actually walk into Target and walk past their swimsuit section during the season? It’s like a beacon of light, whispering our names to peruse the section.

Maybe like me, you peruse, you wishfully think, “that could look cute for the upcoming beach vacation” or “maybe if I hit the gym twice a day I could wear that.” But c’mon, ladies! We need to empower one another and show no shame to our bodies no matter what their shape or size.Did you know Target is adding a new assortment of swimsuits every single month? Right now, there are some absolutely adorable options! I went ahead and opted for a few one-pieces as I am heading to Cancun, Mexico, for a long weekend in April. I know my boyfriend and I will be making the best of the trip, perhaps doing some water sports (we love jet-skiing!), and I am most comfortable being active when I don’t have to worry about a top or a bottom falling off!Although they are one-pieces, these suits are still a little sexy and playful all in their own right! I absolutely love the Vanilla Beach plunging scallop one-piece. I picked out black for a versatile look, and seriously it is one of the most flattering suits I’ve ever tried on! I know I won’t be worried one bit about how I look when I wear this suit. I’ll have #NOFOMO sitting by the pool at the hotel in Mexico.

Swimsuit season calls for pops of color, so what better way than a super hot pink swimsuit. My Tori Praver Seafoam tie-back one-piece in hot pink is seriously a statement maker. I already know I’ll be getting a lot of questions as to where this suit came from because it looks much more expensive than it actually is. Hands down my favorite part about this suit is the back. It shows skin but it’s subtle in doing so. Truly, I feel like this suit belongs on the beaches of Rio de Janeiro!

Before #NOFOMO, I would regularly avoid “fringy” suits, as I always thought they accentuated aspects of my body that I’d rather keep on the down low. However, the Vanilla Beach Castaway one-piece suit fits rather well and accentuates my body in all the right places!

With this mild winter we’ve had, swimsuit season is right around the corner! Why not stock up earlier than normal on suits you’ll most definitely love and want to wear over and over again. Let’s unite, and stop the body shaming and anxiety that comes with swimsuit season! I want to be excited to wear a suit and not care what others think or how I look, and you should want that too!

I’m definitely keeping Target at the top of my list for my swimsuits this season. They’ve got the cutest options that don’t break the bank. Plus, I know I’ll feel great and look good in what they’ve got to offer for every body shape and style.
