As I’ve mentioned time-and-time again, I am all about repurposing and wearing pieces in my wardrobe throughout all the seasons. I know that’s tough with a bulky sweater or a pair of shorts, but there are certain pieces that work. Enter, this amazing Trina Turk sleeveless wide leg jumpsuit that was a serious street style hit during NYFW earlier this month.
Curious what I mean by a hit? Well checkout this street style snap from TimeOut New York. As you can see I wore another coat over the look because let’s face it, it was absolutely frigid in NYC for NYFW.
What I love most about repurposing pieces is how different something can look. This jumpsuit (last seen here) is a statement-maker all on its own, but it looks seriously fab layered as well. I love the bell-bottom flare feel of the pants, which honestly made layering super awesome for the chill (I wore both a pair of base layer leggings and fleece tights underneath!)
My sweet friends at Tuli Designs had me prepared with a few gorgeous accent pieces for my outfits. Remember Tuli Designs beautiful scarves? Last seen here and here. Well, this scarf is from the latest collection, inspired by the evil eyes of Istanbul and the colorful city lights of Shanghai. The wandering eye scarf also received some street style attention too! See the snap here.
Instead of just wrapping this scarf around my neck, I actually tried a new look. I was able to wrap the scarf once around my neck and bring both ends to the front. I then tied the two ends into a bow for a flouncy look and a statement around my neck. I had never tried this way of tying a scarf before, but will definitely be doing this a lot more!
