Putting together this post, the only song I could think of, was one of my top-1o favorites, Pumped Up Kicks by a festival classic, Foster the People. Maybe it’s the cheeky, fun look this outfit encapsulates; maybe it’s the super cool whistle necklace or my camo espadrille kicks that have been on repeat as of late. Whatever it is, this outfit seriously reminds me of summer and I am totally okay with that.

As my readers, I am not sure how you feel about me pushing myself a little bit outside my ‘style’ box; I hope you’d tell me if otherwise! This utility sweater tank (also comes in black) is definitely something I wouldn’t normally gravitate to, but as I saw it more and more, I knew I had to try it on. Bonnie, owner of Emerson Rose, a local Heights-area boutique here in Houston (whom has quickly become a friend) was all for me trying out this look along with my photographer bff Lauren… and well what do ya know?!

This could quite possibly be one of my favorite outfits of the year thus far. I mean how could you not have Pumped Up Kicks playing through your head as your theme song when wearing this outfit? Spirit anthem anyone? Hope you’re having a great week!
