Midi Wrap Dress

After many years of trying on dresses, I’ve got it down pretty solid as to what style of dress is the most flattering for my figure. I love a great shift dress, but to diverge from that classic shape, I’ve been gravitating lately towards the midi dress. This wrap, tiered cut is my new go-to for many occasions.

I snagged this dress for a garden party sponsored by Joe Fresh a few weeks ago at #rStheCon in Dallas. The party was outside and I knew I needed to wear something that I not only felt comfortable in but could also keep on throughout the night.

I’ve always loved Parker dresses and this dress is no exception. While many websites say this dress runs true to size, I actually sized down to an XS. There isn’t a side zipper, simply the faux wrap effect and an elastic waist, so the dress can look a little draped if not in the correct size.

I recently wore this dress again for the beach wedding in Cancun this past weekend. It was perfect for the occasion because it was rather windy and I didn’t have to be worried about my dress flying up and perfect for later in the evening when we danced the night away under the stars.

I know I’ll have plenty more parties and date nights down the road where I can wear this blue midi dress. Perhaps next month when I head home to Phoenix to spend time with my mom and friends. It would be perfect for an engagement brunch or Sunday brunch after church.
