Happy Monday, friends. Where did the weekend go? We made it back from Waco after an exciting game, all the weather: sun, heat, humidity and heavy rain, and a church service with a surprise visit from Chip and Joanna Gaines! How perfect is this printed swing dress for fall? Oh, and it’s also on sale.

I actually saw this swing dress at Anthropologie over a month ago and immediately gravitated towards it because of the color combination. I love the burnt orange and blue mixed in, and probably will pair it with my burnt orange Texas Longhorns boots for gameday when it gets a bit cooler outside.

We actually had some cooler temperatures today because of the rain the blew in. I’m hoping it sticks around, but am not too confident. For the time being, this swing dress is adorable paired with my suede lace-up sandals.

Quick recap of our weekend. We went up to Waco on Saturday for the Baylor football game, fortunately it was an easy drive up and we got our In-N-Out fix before game time and even wandered through the Magnolia Market Silos for a second year to see the updates they’ve made. We parked and hiked over to the stadium, it was h-o-t and humid. My least favorite combination.

The game kicked off at 6:40pm and Baylor scored within a minute and a half or so then the officials called a lightning delay! The NCAA requires 30-minute increments for lightning delays and the players and staff have to go into the locker room and fans must seek shelter. Let’s just say it never rained, it did lightning quite a bit but an hour and a half later the game started back up.

Baylor won, so Rick was happy and I was too – it was a good game! We woke up Sunday morning and vacillated on heading to church and ultimately decided to go, even though it was pouring rain. Well, what a treat it was because to our surprise Chip and Joanna Gaines, from HGTV’s Fixer Upper, were part of the teaching for the morning in a conversation with the pastor of Antioch Church and the congregation.

It was so inspiring to hear their testimony and experiences. How they’ve trusted God with their endeavors and continue to do so. And let me tell you, they are the most down-to-earth individuals ever and exactly as you see on television. Such a cool experience, considering it seems like a lot of these reality stars let the fame go to their head.
