Hi there! How was everyone’s weekend? We had a relaxing one over here and couldn’t have asked for better weather. My mom and I found this navy lace-up shirtdress earlier last month at J.Crew and since then we’ve become hooked. It’s the perfect dress for spring and summer: to wear for errands, to dress up with lace up espadrilles or wedges and even for friends’ showers or parties.Â

I know I’ve said this before, but there’s something so effortless about the shirtdress. They’re such a practical piece of clothing in a wardrobe! This is just perfect for the Houston heat. Since it’s cotton, it’s breathable and just an all around easy item to wear. I know it’s something that I’ll always feel comfortable in and will always look flattering, too.
Has anyone jumped on the basket bag/tote trend yet? I think they’re so adorable! You may remember this fun basket tote from this post last spring. I received today’s featured as a goodie to bring along on our honeymoon. I absolutely love it! Yes, it’s a huge tote, but it’s perfect for so many things like carrying beach towels and necessities, great for bringing out on a boat or even to use at the farmers’ market.
