Hey there, how was your weekend? We made it back from a weekend with family in Dallas and are getting back into our weekly routine. Rick and I are still sick, ugh! It’s also been a rainy, soppy mess here in Houston.
Can you believe Memorial Day is right around the corner? I feel like a broken record, but time is seriously flying by! I wanted to share with y’all a little patriotic number today, because I mean how much more Americana can you get in a cute red, white and blue rickrack off shoulder top?Â

Memorial Day weekend is one of my favorites, as it’s always signified the official kickoff for summer. If you’re heading out to a fun bbq this would make for the perfect summer outfit. Or if you haven’t got plans but maybe want to wear something cute for errands, you could easily wear the shirtdress and sneakers in last week’s post, here.
If you’re on the hunt for a pair of summer sandals that you’ll get endless wear out of, then you need to snag my t-strap flat sandals seen above. They’re only $55 and come in endless color combinations. I wear these babies all the time! They go with everything too. I really love that I can dress them both up and down, dependent on the outfit. I like to wear them a lot with maxi dresses (like this , that I personally have, or this wear-everywhere ) whenever we go to Santa Barbara.
We personally don’t have any plans and I’m pretty thrilled about it! Maybe we’ll end up doing something spur of the moment like head down to Galveston or spend the weekend at my family’s ranch.

This year is flying by! We’re planning to see The Avett Brothers this weekend at a local festival called the Banjobque! Unfortunately, I don’t think it’ll be cool enough out for pants.
