Coffee Talk // Volume 12

Grab that cup of coffee, it’s time for another coffee talk! How was your holiday weekend? Any fun travels or adventures? I hope you took advantage of some of the awesome sales, too. What’s new around here? Honestly not much. I wasn’t kidding last week when I said it’s been a little boring around here. But honestly it’s probably for the best, as I’ve gotten myself up out of the treading water I was in for the last few months.

In the last week I’ve finalized some fun projects that I’m looking forward to sharing with you here in the coming weeks. I’ve been working on some brainstorming and strategies too. Running your own business is no joke y’all.

Any of my fellow entrepreneurs out there?? You for sure know where I’m coming from! It’s a lot of mornings filled with more than one cup of coffee, things happening out of your control and late nights staring at the computer.

But let me tell you, it’s worth it. Especially when you’re at that bottom point and you feel like it’s not. In the last two months or so I’ve rediscovered my love for this little corner of mine on the Internet.

Is it tough? Absolutely. I mean, it’s pretty cliche, but I’ve put my blood (not literally, more figuratively), sweat and tears (lots and lots of them – I’m a crier!) into Girl Wonder Life. But honestly, I wouldn’t have it any other way or change a thing!

Perhaps I’ve come even more to this realization because Girl Wonder Life turned 6 years old last week. I cannot believe what started out as a place where my parents, grandparents and maybe 3-4 friends stopped by for fashion tips into what it is today! Come June it’ll also be two years since I took to ABA as a full-time blogger. I mean it’s so cliche, but time really does fly when you’re having fun.

So thanks for joining me on this wild, but fun ride! I’ve loved getting to know y’all better, offer you tips and advice and read your awesome comments and feedback. Thank you for being you! And I can’t wait to continue on my entrepreneurial journey. #girlboss

Now for things I’m loving:  

– On the topic of working and running my own business, I came across this awesome article – 13 Easy Things you Can Do to Reduce Stress.. and it’s just what I needed. I think we all know that life has a knack at getting pretty crazy and before we know it, it’s too late. Well these tips are super helpful to remember whenever the stress and anxiety hits. Number five and six especially hit home for me.

– One of my favorite online stores, Tuckernuck, recently released their and I want it all! Y’all know I love my Barbour jacket (last seen here) and this little is no exception. How cute for summer rain showers, right? I’m loving this for a beach vacation or summer date night.

– Alright y’all, my favorite go-to perfume is . I’ve been wearing it since it came out forever ago. But y’all I was sent Urban Decay’s limited edition Go Naked Perfume Oil and it is the bomb. No joke, you need to snag this asap. Well, you can’t get your hands on it until June 3rd when it drops during the VIB sale, or until June 7th on the Urban Decay website… but I’m telling you this is my new scent for summer and I need a bigger bottle!

– Don’t forget, the is still going on through Sunday the 4th. This is seriously adorable. Need a new pair of nude leather espadrilles for summer? This pair of are perfect. Also, this is too cute!
