Hey, hey friends. How’s your week? It’s been a busy one around here. Grab your cup of coffee and let’s do this!
As I told y’all last week, Rick and I are headed for some Northern California sunshine and cooler air on Monday. To say we’re excited to get away for a few days, is an understatement. We’re flying into San Francisco and heading up North to the wine country. Neither of us have ever been before, so it’ll be fun to experience it together.
We’re staying in Healdsburg a little city within Sonoma County. We’ve got quite a busy schedule, including some wine tastings and fun meals, but we have an open evening one night. Have any of y’all been up there before? If you have any recommendations, I’d love to hear them.
Also, while I’m asking, is there anything you’d like to see in terms of travel content? I’ll be putting together a travel guide to share with y’all, once we get home. I’ll also be sharing a few outfits from our trip. But if there’s anything else you’d like to see, let me know either via email or in the comments below.
In the meantime, before I start prepping for our trip, I’m prepping for the start of the . I hope you saw my post earlier this week featuring my tips for navigating the sale, if not, you can read it here. If anything, I highly recommend you peruse this sale, presale for Nordstrom card holders begins tomorrow, the 13th. But if you don’t have a card, then you can shop when the sale opens to the public next Friday, the 21st.
I definitely use this sale to stock up on basics and must-have pieces for my closet. I always check out the offerings when it comes to , , and . I also tend to grab a pair of or. What’s unique about this sale is items are new and get marked down first during the sale and then the prices go back up after the sale ends.
Be sure to check back bright and early tomorrow morning for my top sale picks and don’t forget to enter this giveaway for a $1000 Nordstrom gift card, scroll down to the bottom of the post.
Now for things I’m loving:
– Whether on sale or not, I am looking for a new pair of budget-friendly sunglasses (perhaps a bit over $100), for our trip. I am loving the styles by . These are a little summery, but I love the color. I also really like these . Or I could stick with a classic look like this .
– Let me share with y’all a few beauty products I’ve been using. I’ve been experiencing some extra greasiness on my T-zone this summer, so I’ve been trying out this cleanser by called . I’ve really been loving it so far and the price point is really good for a Sephora product. I’ve also been using these , they remind me of those keychains people used in the 90s! But I love them as they are great for working out and don’t break my hair when I pull it out.
– We haven’t had any houseguests yet in our new home, but I like to think that I’ll implement some of these ideas when we do. Take a look at this Goop article, 10 Ways to Make Houseguests More Comfortable. I’ve got the welcome bouquet and plush towels under control, but the charger or dock is a brilliant idea!
