Trends, let’s talk about them. I’ve mentioned here before that I’m not a huge wearer of trendy pieces, but there is always one or two items I usually can’t resist from season to season. This season it’s the pearl barrette hair clips and coordinating two-piece sets. If there were ever a striped shortsuit set you need, it’s this one.

There’s something about coordinating sets that I love. I can’t put my finger on what it is exactly, but perhaps it’s that the ones I love are feminine and fun. You might remember this striped two-piece set I wore last summer. I brought it along to Hawaii and will definitely be pulling it back out to wear more this summer.
This shortsuit is just too fun. I love how the two pieces can be worn together, but also separated out to create completely different outfits. In essence, this striped shortsuit set offers three different outfit variations – meaning more bang for your buck!
I’m trying my hand at the pearl barrette trend, too. Rick wasn’t a fan – he thought it made me look like a little girl… but I love the trend. Again, another fun and feminine trend I can get behind. That’s a gorgeous suit! I love shortsuits, they’re perfect for spring while still looking professional and classy. And I love the pearl barrette, it does look youthful but I think it adds a very fun detail to an outfit without making it childish whatsoever.
