Soon enough we’ll be saying goodbye to spring and hello to summer! We’ve had some pretty crappy weather here in Houston, so it’s been extra tough to shoot new outfits lately. But, this spring & summer budget-friendly stripes outfit makes me excited for sunny days and ice cream.

One of my favorite stores for budget-friendly finds all year long is J.Crew Factory. Right now they’ve got some seriously cute pieces and they’re priced so well. I love the fit on these drapey shorts, I took my usual size. They’re long enough to look a little more dressy, and I just love the coral pink color. They come in a fatigue green color as well, which I’ve had my eye on.
I don’t think I realized how often I wear stripes until Rick started pointing it out last week. I didn’t wear a top that was striped for a few days straight, and he noted such. I suppose I’m just a stripes addict, what can I say! This striped popover is easy to wear and such a fun stripe print combo. But if you’re not a stripes fan, you can also grab it in solid white.
You’ve seen these flatform espadrille sandals around here quite a bit. When the weather warms up, I love wearing these shoes as they give me height but are much more comfortable than heels. Check out how I’ve styled them previously here and here.
We’re headed out of town on Friday for a Texas road trip! Our nephew is graduating from Texas Tech, so we’re making the eight hour drive to Lubbock for the occasion. Hope y’all have a great week ahead!
