What a relaxing weekend and just what I needed to recoup from a not too wonderful week before. Not only did I fit in a Define Body class (seriously Houston gals, the best thing ever – I could barely walk Sunday, but in a good way!), continued to work on cleaning out my closet, stopped by the new Biscuit Home location and caught up their with Chelsie and did some R&R out in the suburbs with Rick out at his family’s house taking care of their dog Solomon, Sollie for short. A Standard Poodle rescue, he could quite possibly be one of the friendliest and sweetest dogs you’ll ever meet. Not to mention he’s quite handsome too.
My love for animals doesn’t stop at dogs (did you like that transition there?), ever since I was a little girl I’ve had an affinity for flamingos – or as I used to call them ‘domingos’. So when Kidogo Kidogo (meaning ‘little by little’ in Swahili) reached out regarding their one-to-one iPhone case program, I couldn’t resist. Designed by Tanzanian-based artist, Sarah Markes, the cases depict beautiful wildlife native to the country. What’s even cooler is the cause behind the case. For every case bought, Kidogo Kidogo buys a mobile phone (or phone credits) and gives it to a woman in Tanzania who might not otherwise be able to afford it. And while the phones provide communication lines, the also offer so much more – a camera, calculator, flashlight, radio and a watch – things we so often take for granted, but can be life-altering and saving to the women of Tanzania.
Not only is the case beautifully designed, but it’s lightweight and far from bulky – just what I look for in a case. So when I received a few texts while we were out and about with Sollie, it wasn’t difficult to hold on to his leash and get my phone out and respond at the same time. Plus, I’d say it’s the perfect iPhone accessory for summer, wouldn’t you?
Be sure to check out Kidogo Kidogo and shop their amazing products – you can give the chance of life-changing mobile technology to a woman in Tanzania by doing so. I hope you have a wonderful week!

Awwww! What a fluffy, adorable dog! I want a fluffy, white dog also but our current apartment wouldn’t be good for one.
