Today is my 25th birthday and I’m still a bit in disbelief that I’m at the quarter-life-mark!

Cheers though to the life I’ve had thus far! The amazing family & friends, a dog that has become an amazing companion, the opportunities I’ve been given, the people I’ve met and the places I’ve traveled to, the past 25 years have been some for the memory books.

Of course there has been recent heartbreak with the passing of my grandfathers, both on my dad and mom’s side, within less than a year of each other. I’ve also had some tough life decisions that I’ve had to make in terms of life after college and whatnot.

I couldn’t imagine myself anywhere but here, right now. I am doing what I love, writing… blogging for myself and you! I am dabbling in my first love, fashion, and I love it! I’m networking and meeting amazing women and men in this industry and I am so grateful for the doors blogging has opened.

In terms of my birthday dress, I wanted something fun yet sophisticated for 25. I came across this Alice + Olivia jacquard dress a few days before Christmas and couldn’t resist. I love the subtle hint of the back peeping out and the cut is perfect for so many body shapes! I did have to size up one size from my regular dress cut, but it’s worth it. This dress would definitely make the perfect New Years dress as well.
