It has been nice and steamy here in Houston this last month – wait, woah… can you believe it’s already July?! – with the undoubtable fact that it’s going to get even steamier.

Still reminiscing on our trip back in late May to the Grand Cayman. Our hotel had some great amenities including stand-up paddle boarding included in the resort fee. Have you ever tried it? It’s such a serious workout, but in a good way!

Let’s kick off the week with some fun Fourth of July inspiration. I love a good Americana look. I guess that’s the prep persona in me, but I definitely took this look to a little more edgy place than I would normally opt for. It’s been fun to push the boundaries of my usually classic style a little bit more. After all, what’s the fun in fashion if you don’t push your own envelope every once and awhile?
