Last month when I headed to Squaw Valley, I wanted a chic-looking ski outfit, but didn’t want to drop a load of money either. On a whim I picked up this white belt-waist ski jacket and fell in love! Oh and did I mention it’s under $200? Today I want to chat with y’all some budget friendly ski style.

Y’all, in case you didn’t already know, skiing is expensive! Between the gear, rentals, lift tickets, etc. things can add up fast! I admit I have a Columbia ski jacket, but I was concerned that it wouldn’t be warm enough. With the trends turning to more fitted ski styles (#bless), I wanted to find a jacket that would do away from the marshmallow ski look we all think of, and make me feel like I was actually cute while coming down the mountain.
I had no idea had a ski line, so when I stumbled upon it, I was a little unsure on the quality, warmth and other factors. The budget-friendly price, however, was no joke, especially after looking at jackets that cost upwards of $400 plus.
I tried four different Topshop styles, and ultimately decided on this . Boy, am I glad I did. I wore it the first two days we skied in Squaw Valley, and both days it snowed while we were on the mountain! The true test of quality, would it keep me warm while skiing at a budget friendly price? Well ladies, it did and more!
There are so many pockets in the jacket, the furry hood was a life saver during the snow storm and the cinched belt actually gave me waist definition even when I had on 3 layers underneath!
So when it comes to budget friendly ski style, be sure to test out a bunch of different jackets. Walk around in the store wearing them, walk around your house and move in it. And don’t necessarily be mindful of the price tag. I figured that this white jacket, at a lesser price, wouldn’t stand up compared to the more expensive jackets, but I was definitely wrong! Especially since I got to test it out firsthand in the elements.
Definitely shop around, and hit the sales during the offseason, as there are definitely some great budget friendly ski styles to be had! Let me know if you have any questions. xo
