Who has a go-to lip care product in your arsenal? I know when I have a beauty product I can trust time and time again, it’s easier to not get so worried about the little things in life. Are my lips dry and flaky? Or do I look presentable for that important job interview? For me, Carmex lip balm gives me that boost of confidence I need to go out and conquer my day!

Contrary to what it may seem, considering I have a blog in which I put myself out there on this corner of the Internet, multiple times a week, you’d think I’m a super outgoing person. To be perfectly honest, I can actually be a little shy until you get to know me.
It was until I headed to college that I realized I needed to expand out of my comfort zone and work on my efforts to be more talkative and receptive to meeting new people. I mean, I went to The University of Texas – at the time there were over 50,000 people on campus. A huge fishbowl to get completely lost in, if you ask me!
I personally found that expanding my comfort zone came with having confidence in yourself both inside and out. Sometimes that means giving myself little pep talks before I go into new environments, or swiping on some Carmex lip balm – a product that brings me serious comfort, since I’ve been using it for as long as I can remember.
I’ve always dealt with dry and chapped lips. Carmex has, and continues to fit comfortably in my life, and I’ve found that those little pieces of comfort aid in helping me expand my comfort zone!
It’s about expanding my comfort zone on my own terms, so if that means carrying around my trusty and swiping it on before entering that important meeting or big party, that’s what I’ll do!
Lately I’ve really come to love the . If you’ve been reading the last few weeks, then you know I made it back to my favorite workout studio in Houston, Define. I’ve been taking the Body classes but never know anyone in them.
It’s definitely easy to be more of a recluse in an environment where you don’t know anyone. But every time I head to class I give myself a little pat on the back in the parking lot – for both making it to class (the hardest part) and as motivation to expand my comfort zone and try to talk with fellow classmates and be enthusiastic about getting my behind kicked by our instructor!
Lately I’ve gotten into a bit of a routine where I’ll pull out my Comfort Care Lip Balm in Watermelon flavor (so great for summer!) and rub some on my lips before walking into class. It not only keeps my lips hydrated but is a reminder to take a deep breath and be comfortable with myself.
I’m working up the courage to go to two other Define classes that intimidate me – Rev & Bounce – and I’ve got Carmex to thank for expanding my comfort zone and getting to know the awesome instructors and clients at Define. It’s been an amazing experience to want to be in an environment where we are pushed to our limits in fitness, but feel amazing after!

I am actually currently in love with their new chapstick. I bought it on a whim and then bought 2 more the next time I was at the grocery store. It smells great and is so smooth. Also the shine is there without being too glossy.

I didn’t even know that Carmex made stick balms – I only knew about the squeeze bottles and I never loved those growing up. I’m a much bigger fan of stick balms so I’ll have to try the other ones out! I’m glad they’re a reminder to stay confident!
