The number of cold & dreary days are totally outnumbering the sunny mild weather ones here in Houston. Because of it, I’m trying to make the most of days I can spend outside and wear pops of color along with it. Lately a favorite accessory of mine has been the chic silk scarf, and it truly adds a color pop to any outfit.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, layering is key during Houston winters. Throwing on a quilted vest over a long-sleeve tee and denim is a go-to in my layering playbook.
You may recall the last time I wore a colorful silk scarf late last year (see the outfit post here). I received this beautiful silk floral Valentino scarf for Christmas and have added it into my chic silk scarf rotation. It’s a square shape, like my Hermes scarf, so I fold it into a triangle and tie the two ends into a knot around my neck for a drapey look.
If you follow along on Instagram, then you’ll see that I’m on a fun trip this week. Spending a few days in Squaw Valley (the North side of lake Tahoe) for a fun media trip including skiing and other snow sports. Be sure to follow along on Insta for a behind the scenes look. And stay tuned down the road for content from the trip!
