Coffee Talk // Volume 16

Grab that cup of coffee and let’s have a chat! 

Who’s ready for the holiday weekend? I really can’t believe we’re almost mid-way through the summer… time is flying! As I mentioned in last week’s coffee talk, we’re heading to the lake this weekend and it looks like the weather should finally be sunny.

June has been fun, we’ve stuck around town this month, but we’ve got some fun trips planned in the coming weeks and I’m excited to get traveling!

In mid-July we’re headed to wine country in Northern California for a few days. My dad lives in the Bay Area, but I’ve actually never made it up to the Napa/Sonoma-area, nor has Rick, so we’re looking forward to trying out some  great restaurants and sipping on some vino. The latter part of the trip we get to hang with my dad. Probably the best part, is getting back to California and some cooler weather and an ocean breeze!

Come August, we’re heading back to Santa Barbara, in Southern California, and as always I’m so excited to get back. We’ve been visiting Santa Barbara for as long as I can remember, so spending some time there each summer holds a special place in my heart. Both trips will have a bit of a work component, because let’s be honest, I can’t turn off social media! If y’all have any recommendations or things you’d like to see, let me know in the comments below.

In other news, I’ve decided I watch way too much TV, haha! I was definitely sad that Southern Charm came to another season ending on Monday. I watched Southern Charm Savannah essentially due to it being on after the former, but really didn’t become a fan. I’ve also been keeping up with Below Deck and Real Housewives of NYC. Now that I read back what I just typed, perhaps I should add, I’ve decided I watch way too much reality TV. 

Anyone else out there?? I have to admit I haven’t been watching the Bachelorette, but maybe I’ll jump back into it later in the season. I will be tuning into Bachelor in Paradise, however. Oh, and I cannot wait for the return of Real Housewives of Orange Country – the OGs hold a special place in my heart.

Now for things I’m loving: 

– Who here shops the ?? Well we’re a month away from the infamous sale and just dropped their Anniversary Sale 2017 catalogue featuring items. – I found this article one to bookmark! I always struggle with picking out mani/pedi color combinations when I go to get my nails done. I usually always opt for the safe bet, one neutral and one statement color. But this article via Glitter Guide: 5 Mani-Pedi Color Combinations to Try This Summer, had some great ideas that I hadn’t really thought of previously. I’ll definitely be trying out the pale pink & lavender combo when I go next time. Loving this paired with this pearly pink called .

– I’ve had my eye on some super cute summer bags, so fun for the season! I’ve been loving basically anything Pineapple, pom poms or colorful. Here are a few of my favorites: a ; an adorable with pom pom detailing (it’s on sale, too!); this cute little ; and this .
