Happy Wednesday, y’all! Have you enjoyed the content I’ve been sharing lately around here? I was so excited to finally hit publish on yesterday’s city guide. While it was definitely a lengthy one, I just couldn’t leave things out! I hope you’ll find a chance to read it here. In the meantime, grab that drink and let’s get to chatting, it’s coffee talk time!
Because it wouldn’t be a coffee talk, if I didn’t talk about it… who watched the Bachelorette season finale? First off, what a serious disappointment. Granted, I only jumped in about two episodes before the finale, but I was extremely disappointed with how the finale played out. I mean, seriously why don’t you milk it for all it’s worth Bachelor franchise?? Did we really need to watch a three-hour episode alongside Chris Harrison and Rachel just to know the end an entire hour before the episode was slated to end?
I think you can see how I felt about this! If you didn’t watch this season, go ahead and just skip ahead. I did very much enjoy the Twitter-verse’s crazy reaction to everything that was happening (and lack thereof…). Some of my favorite tweets included:
“RT if you feel personally victimized by #TheBacheloretteFinale right now” – @Bachelorburnbk
“Bryan is what happens when you want everything right now and Peter is what you earn when you have patience. #TheBacheloretteFinale” – @katrina3511
“Rachel settling for Bryan is like when you want chick Fil’ A on a Sunday but have to settle for Mcdonals. #TheBacheloretteFinale” – @briiiiyonce
I did watch the entire three hours, give or take and was just as frustrated as almost all of America when things played out the way they did. I get it, #drama ABC, but seriously unnecessary. And quite frankly, I really though Rachel in the end looked like all she cared about was getting a large engagement ring on her finger. That was definitely disappointing as I thought she was a bit more grounded than that.
Oh well! I do know that I’ll be tuning in for Bachelor in Paradise, as I am a huge BIP loyalist. Let me know if you’ll be watching too!
Now for things I’m loving..
– The adorable brand, recently released some fun and cheeky activewear. If you follow along on Instastories, then you saw I received this fun and this little from the brand earlier this week. You’ll see the look soon on the blog and I’m looking forward to sporting it on our trip in Santa Barbara next week as well! I also think these are so cute.
– While I definitely thing each person’s opinions on ‘favorite Instagram accounts’ is subjective, I did find this article from the Everygirl on their Team’s Favorite Instagram Accounts to hit pretty close to home in comparison to my favorites. I do actually love to hear what other’s fav IG accounts are, because more often than not they are accounts I haven’t heard of before and can give them a follow for regular inspiration. I have to admit @Blaireadiebee is still one of my favorites, the photography is simply stunning and 9 times out of 10 the outfit is definitely something I would wear. What are your favorite Instagram accounts?
– I was recently invited to a sip & see for the most darling little newborn gal, Elle, the daughter of sweet Houston-blogger Carrie Colbert and I had to share the party with you. It was seriously dreamy and the perfect little gathering to celebrate the newborn. There were so many amazing local Houston vendors featured and the mocktails with Ocean Spray Juices were absolutely delicious! See the full post here.
– After shopping the #NSale like a madwoman, I have to admit there isn’t much I need to prepare for fall. However, we still have a few solid months left of summer so I’ve got a few things on my mind; thinking I need to add them to my shopping cart! I’m totally drawn to this . The silhouette is darling and I feel like it could be worn for plenty of occasions. I’m not usually a big slip-on sneaker person, but for some reason this is calling my name! In need of a new pair of sunglasses? I can personally attest to this pair of , I wear mine like crazy. Lastly, I’m always looking for chic tops to wear on their own or under jackets or sweaters and this is so adorable. It comes in white too!
