Ready for the long weekend? I know I am in an adorable turquoise shirtdress that’s perfect for holiday weekends and beach vacations!

Besides the shift dress (last seen here), the shirt dress is my favorite dress silhouette. Really, it’s universally flattering – you just have to toy with the shape especially if there is a tie. I recently learned the trick of ‘blouson-ing’ out the dress over the tie if you’re feeling like it’s still not the most flattering.

I am usually weary of silk during the summer, but this dress is breathable and the color is amazing (comes in a great orange, too!).
