April showers, bring May flowers, right? We’ve had a lot of rain this spring here in Texas, but finally the last few days have been beautiful ones. Meaning the time has finally come to break out some of my spring and summer appropriate dresses! We all know I love a good off the shoulder silhouette, and this embroidered off the shoulder dress has fit perfectly into my closet rotation.

With Cinco de Mayo festivities right around the corner, I feel like this embroidered off the shoulder dress takes the cake for what I’ll be wearing that day. It’s an easily packable and wearable cotton piece that would look great with flat sandals or espadrilles like I’ve paired it above.
Speaking of espadrilles, I recently snagged these from a friends & family sale and couldn’t be more thrilled with my purchase. In years past, I’ve had some issues with espadrille wedges hurting the sole of my foot thanks to the natural insole or no insole at all, inside the shoe. I was a bit nervous, but after reading the reviews, I decided to take the plunge on these metallic wedges. I couldn’t be more thrilled, as the laces stay up and they’re comfortable!
For reference, I took my regular size 6.5 and they fit perfectly. Again, the laces actually stay up (which I’ve found to be a problem with previous pairs), and the metallic gold is subtle yet chic. Â I know these will be in heavy rotation for months to come!
