Morning, friends. As y’all know, Houston was hit extremely hard by Hurricane Harvey and catastrophic flooding event soon thereafter. Even though it’s been almost two months, there is so much to be done and assistance needed! A lot of you have asked how you can help, so I teamed up with a Houston-area Stella & Dot stylist to create a trunk show to give back to Harvey relief via Stella & Dot purchases!Â

So many of you kindly asked how you could help, and today still, as people begin to move into their temporary housing and such, assistance is needed the most via monetary funds. So what better way to help, especially with the holidays right around the corner, then to give back to Harvey victims by shopping our Stella & Dot trunk show, with 100% of the proceeds going back to the Greater Houston Community Foundation and their Hurricane Harvey Relief Fund. To date the fund has raised over $84 million.
I’ve learned a lot through our Harvey experience. We were infinitely lucky to have not personally suffered any damage or loss to our home or belongings, but so many, including close friends, were not. You may recall this post where I talked about different ways to give and help through charitable contributions. After that post went live, I modified it multiple times as I began to learn where donation funds actually went via the organizations.
After much research, I opted to direct funds for our Stella & Dot trunk show towards the GHCF’s Hurricane Harvey Relief fund because of the long-term relief the fund is offering. Yes, the fund is also offering immediate and medium relief, but there will be so much more needed as we continue to move further away from Harvey and other natural disasters occur.

The City Clutch is one of my favorites, since its so versatile and easy to wear throughout the entire year! I hadn’t initially been thinking about Christmas and holiday gifts just yet, but with the chance to give back to Harvey relief via Stella & Dot purchases, I’ll definitely be crossing off quite a few gifts I need off my list!
