I’ve found myself unexpectedly gravitating towards bright red colors this season. To be honest, I’ve never really worn red before (until this dress). Whether it’s being a little nervous of the tone of red on my skin type – true red lipstick isn’t usually my go-to, for example. However, I’ve found myself adding tons of red in my wardrobe as of late. So, enter the perfect holiday red turtleneck.

A quick precursor to these photos. I had a little malfunction with the side-zipper of this dress, but just loved the pattern and flirty drop waist look, so I improvised with layers. Layered the perfect holiday red turtleneck over the printed dress and belted it for a necessary cinch and definition to achieve a cute and comfortable look to run around town. With that being said, I definitely recommend sizing-up on this particular black long sleeve vintage print dress!

Notice, I’ve also got holiday red on my nails and in my main accessory – the most adorable quilted red leather purse! I’ve been giving my nails a bit of a break from gel nail polish in preparation for the upcoming holiday season, so I’ve been trying out some colors I perhaps wouldn’t normally choose. I think it’s safe to say I’ll be continuing to go back to true red manicures.

I digress however, because really, you need to know about this great purse. It comes in multiple different colors, has a removable and adjustable strap for cross-body usage and is seriously super quality.

I’m so excited to see Vera Bradley making a resurgence – one of my favorite brands when I was younger. The fabric prints are still available, but a more sophisticated look for clients like myself are available, and I’ll definitely be gifting some pieces to family & friends for Christmas!
