Summer days spent by the pool – I wish I had time to do a lot more of this! So in the rare times when I do get to hang out by the pool, I make sure I have all the right necessities inside my summer pool bag!

I’ve been loving fun, on-trend bags this summer, and this round straw bag is no exception. It’s actually quite roomy and such a good price point. I can fit all my pool day necessities inside with room to spare. Usually when I go to the pool, I like to limit what I bring along versus when I go to the beach where I tend to bring a large tote along. Our pool is just a few hundred yards from our house, in our neighborhood community, so if I need something, I can always walk back to my house!
As I’ve shared with y’all on the blog recently (see here), I’ve been exploring more eco-friendly and natural beauty and skincare products. I recently discovered Coola sunscreen and there is no better word to describe my feelings about it other than, obsessed!
The smell truly transports me right back to the beach, it’s lightweight and wears really nicely. Not only is Coola sunscreen made in the USA, but it’s also paraben-free, sulfate-free, phthalate-free, oxybenzone-free and gluten-free. It’s cruelty-free and Vegan! Best part too, it’s safe for our Ocean reefs! And if you don’t know what I’m talking about, check out this recent article about how Hawaii recently banned most sunscreens.
Along with my sunscreen, which I reapply at least every 45-minutes, I’ve become much more proactive on my own sun prevention by always bringing a hat and wearing sunglasses. Of course, I’d love to have a nice tan face, with fresh freckles, but I know I will regret it down the road as wrinkles begin to appear and my skin shows the sun damage. I personally like nice, big sunglasses to keep my eyes and the delicate skin around them protected from the sun’s harsh rays.
As for the shoes I’ve been wearing non-stop this summer, it’s these that are worth every, single penny. They’re so comfy and chic. Last seen in this post, I love how versatile they are, and how they truly go with so many summer outfits. A little word on sizing, I sized up half a size, because they only come in whole sizes and I’m a true 6.5. I’m thinking about grabbing them in black to carry into my fall wardrobe.
And no summer pool day would be complete without a fun pool towel! I love this fringe, colorful pool towel because it’s oh so cozy and soft when I need to dry off from a swim in the pool.
