Island cottages

During my recent trip to the Newport Coast, we spent a few hours of our day on Balboa Island. Let me tell you, what an adorable place! I’d been on the island years before, but didn’t really remember a lot of it… except of course the shopping. Just a car ride or walk over a short bridge and you’re there. The main street is filled with adorable boutiques, surrounded by tightly-packed, but nonetheless desirable beach cottage and bungalow filled neighborhoods. I was absolutely taken away by how beautiful almost every one of their front sitting + garden area’s were. I guess if you had perfect California weather all the time, it wouldn’t be too difficult to curl up with a good book and an Arnold Palmer on one of the lounges, or love and find time to maintain your garden.
