Tackling My Day with JORD Watches

As an entrepreneur I have to be my own self starter. That means staying on top of time-management, keeping track of my own deadlines and taking care of the not so fun portions of business management, like book-keeping. As a full-time blogger and influencer keeping track of time is a big deal (I wouldn’t get things done otherwise!). So today, I wanted to share how I’m tackling my day with JORD unique watches.

Keeping a set time of ‘business hours’ has been key to my success. I find that I am much more productive in the morning and evening. With that being said, I’ll usually wake up and scan my phone and other social media items early morning, then get up and let Lucy outside, make a cup of coffee and some breakfast. Sometimes I’ll either sit at my desk in pjs or go directly into our bathroom to get ready for the day.

I’ve definitely noticed that when I get ready for my day, even if it’s just putting on some normal clothing (outside of leggings or workout clothes), I’m more productive. In addition, I always put on my watch before I walk out of our bedroom.

Honestly, let’s face it. Sometimes we just need that extra reminder of time passing by on our wrist, too. Is it just me?? Perhaps it is, but having one of the JORD unique watches on my wrist, on top of a phone and computer that tells me what time it is, helps me stay in line with my time management.

When I have a huge project due, or a deadline to meet, I’ll often head to a local coffee shop to knock out my work. I’ve come to find some really cool local-Houston coffee shops, including a new favorite – Throughgood Coffee. I find that I am much more productive when I get to a coffee shop and sit down to tackle work that needs to be done.

With one of my JORD unique watches on my wrist, I can make sure I am staying within my timeframe for being at the coffee shop, and keep on task with the time allotment I have for the day. I like to schedule out my day in increments, with the help of an hourly planner, and will usually rely on my wristwatch to make sure I stick to my day’s plans. Again, as my own boss, I really have to be a self-starter and stay on top of my time. Otherwise the day will completely fly by!

It’s definitely been difficult to figure out my schedule. It’s taken quite a bit of trial and error as well to realize what works and what doesn’t as a small business owner. I would definitely say that what I do, might not work for you. So be open and receptive to different techniques and tips for tackling your day.

It’s amazing how much staying on top of time can be beneficial for both your business and mental health!
