As I’ve gotten older, purchasing and using beauty products with ingredients that I can actually pronounce and recognize has become rather important to me. So when I was given the opportunity to test out some luxury organic beauty products, I jumped at the chance. Enter Organaca, the sister site to Charleston Naturally (whom you may remember from this post), dedicated to the quality and safety of each product they carry.
Incorporating organic products into my daily beauty routine has become important to me as I’ve come to realize the negative impact that cheap beauty products, with often unrecognizable ingredients. can not only wreck havoc on our skin, but are most likely being absorbed into our bodies… yuck! Needless to say, trying out the Suki Face cleanser, Dr. Hauschka hand cream and Rahua hair products was a no brainer.
Let me first tell you about the Suki creamy foaming cleanser, aka heaven in a pretty glass bottle. This cleanser is not only gentle (who isn’t looking for that?!) but smells heavenly and left my face feeling silky smooth after each use. I used it about four days straight in the evenings and experienced no breakouts (hooray!), often common for me when switching to a new product.
I applied the cleanser to my face via my Clarisonic and experienced no feeling of stripped skin, and my face felt clean and fresh of the day’s impurities after I washed the cleanser off with warm water.
So let me be the first to admit, I love a good manicure, but often for me a few days after my hands get a pampering, I experience dry cuticles and fingertips. Plus, this crazy weather we’ve been having in Texas – pumping heat like it’s nobody’s business – has really taken a toll on my hands. Dr. Hauschka skin care products are seriously top notch. What’s even better is when a product actually does what it claims like this hand cream which in this case ‘softens, protects, renews’.
I’ve never really been a hand cream specific user, usually just what I can find will do in terms of cream for my dry cuticles. This stuff has become a blessing, whether it’s in my purse or on my bedside table, I’ve found myself constantly reaching for it as of late and my hands are seriously thanking me.
Finally, the Rahua travel-sized shampoo and conditioner smell unbelievable. Dealing with my fine hair has become an art-form, I often hop between shampoos throughout the week depending on the weather, how I styled my hair the day before, etc. While I was unable to snap a photo of my hair after using the products, I have to say I was rather pleased with both the smell and the condition in which my hair was left after use. Sometimes I experience this weird oilyness near the nape of my neck just after I’ve washed my hair and blown it out. I did not experience that with this product. My hair felt soft and voluminous and I will definitely be incorporating these two travel-sized products into my packed goodies.
