Cheers friends, we made it to Friday! The weather in Houston has been absolutely gorgeous the last few days, after such an unseasonably warm winter, we’re finally getting a normal spring. So with the spring season in full swing, what better than to share the most perfect red off the shoulder top that you most definitely need to add to your closet.

Not sure about you, but I’m still 100% on board with the off the shoulder trend. You’ve seen it all over, and perhaps you thought it would’ve finished making the rounds, but all the stores are still carrying it! I’m personally, not complaining.

Red is not normally a color I find myself naturally gravitating towards. But every single time I have worn something red, I always receive multiple compliments and people telling me, “red is your color“. I suppose that says something, right?

A few weeks before my New Orleans trip, I was perusing and locked eyes with this chic. I knew we’d be the best of friends. Needless to say, this red off the shoulder top came along with me to NOLA and it was the perfect color pop while still chic for day to evening.

Our hotel was in the business district (right near the Superdome), essentially downtown New Orleans, and after a full day of wandering Magazine Street (more to come next week…) I decided to spend the day around the area for the sake of my feet. Just a few blocks from our hotel was the most adorable little area or restaurants, shops and condos.

It was definitely hot and sticky, I have to say even more humid than Houston, but I stayed cool in the cotton of this red off the shoulder . When my mom had a break from her conference we headed over to the aforementioned area to an adorable joint called Willa Jean; their frozen drinks were just what the doctor ordered!

Like I said before, you may think I’m over exaggerating about this top, but the quality is much better than a number of other off the shoulder tops I’ve owned and it comes in classic white and black too. For the evening transition, I changed from my to a pair of and .
