I never knew I was a Saké fan until I tasted this easy Saké Mojito cocktail. Combining fresh ingredients and SakéOne g Saké, this take on the mojito is both refreshing and delicious!
It’s been a hot summer over here! So when I make at-home cocktails, I opt for drinks that are easy to drink and fresh. SakéOne, America’s first craft saké producer, sent along a box of their products and I figured what a better time to try some seriously delicious saké, in a drink that tastes like summer.
I’ve been growing a little herb garden in some pots in my backyard, and have enjoyed using the fresh ingredients in whatever I possibly can while cooking or creating beverages. My mint plant has grown the quickest, and I can’t seem to use it fast enough. So creating a mojito with muddled mint from my backyard was a no brainer. I used more than you may like, I love the taste, and even garnished the top of the drink with mint, too.

Easy Saké Mojito cocktail
3 oz g Fifty Saké
1-2 oz Rose’s lime juice
1 oz club soda
2 tsp sugar or 1 packet of stevia
Handful of mint leaves
In a cocktail shaker, add ice, lime juice and sugar; gently shake together to disolve sugar. Tear or chiffonade mint leaves (use a sharp knife to cut the bundled leaves into thin ribbon slices) and stir into the liquid mixture. Add club soda and g Fifty Saké and shake once. Pour into a highball glass and garnish with a slice of lime, garnish with leftover mint leaves and enjoy!

Simple and fresh! Two things I love most about making at-home cocktails. I also really enjoy supporting US-based brands. Be sure to check out Portland-based SakéOne and pick up a bottle to make your own tasty and easy Saké Mojito cocktails. As they say in Japan, ‘Kanapai!’ or cheers!
