SB LDN Workout Outfit + Fall Fitness Update

Sweaty Betty outfits, workout gear Sweaty Betty workout clothes Sweaty Betty SB LDN Cute workout outfit ideas

Happy fall y’all! It’s officially cooled down to under 60 degrees here in Houston, and I couldn’t be more thrilled! I wanted to bring you guys up-to-date on the fitness happenings over here, plus this workout outfit I’m obsessed with. So let’s dive right in!

Tank c/o // c/o (sold out, but linked same style in solid black) // Sports bra // Running shoes // Socks // Sunglasses // Apple Watch

First off, in case you missed it, you can catch previous workout updates from both September and March of this year, just click on the months to read more.

If you read my September update, I brought you up to speed on my workout routine (or lack thereof with summer travel…) and why I realized Orange Theory wasn’t the best fit for my workout needs. I also mentioned how I was going to look back into some lower-impact workouts as well as ClassPass. So here’s the scoop!

Since letting my Orange Theory subscription lapse, I kind of wafted from workout to workout without any real intentions in mind. I made it to two OT workouts before my monthly term ended and did some outdoor walks and a three pilates reformer classes. So really, not much activity going on – just lots of excuses!

Fast forward to last week, and I decided to finally take the plunge and sign up for ClassPass at the encouragement of a friend who was in town visiting. She wanted to get in some workouts, and I wanted to take advantage of having a friend to workout with!Best workout leggings worth the splurge workout gear that lasts

It was the best ‘kick in the butt’ I could’ve ever received in terms of getting myself back into a routine; I made it to three workout classes last week!

I’ve briefly mentioned ClassPass before, but have received some specific inquiries to delve into it a little deeper. First and foremost, this is not sponsored by ClassPass, I purchased my subscription on my own accord and all thoughts and opinions are my own. But let me tell ya, ClassPass is one of the best things I could’ve ever discovered for my workout routine.

In case you weren’t aware, studio fitness classes are expensive. The pilates reformer class I enjoy costs $30, for a single class. ClassPass has opened the barriers of entry for its members, by fostering relationships with fitness studios to help individuals create their own custom workout routines based on their needs.

By subscribing to ClassPass, you receive a designated amount of ‘points’ each month to put towards classes. Each class is a different amount of points based on demand, class time, date, etc. For someone like me, who has flexibility, since I work from home, this has been a game changer – I can book classes that might not get as busy, or at off-times for a lesser point value than say, a class after normal work hours.

But perhaps my favorite part about ClassPass is the variety! I’ll totally admit that I get serious workout fatigue and boredom with the same routine. So ClassPass offers me the ability to create a workout schedule that fits my needs, by offering a huge variety of different classes and studios throughout the Houston-area. You name it: cycling, running, barre, yoga, boxing – there’s something for everyone!

Even though it’s still relatively early in my ClassPass subscription, I’m thrilled to share that I’ve made it to four workout classes in seven days. That’s more than I’ve done in ages! I’ve definitely seen a renewed motivation, and even with the change in routine and classes, I’m already starting to see small changes in my body’s appearance.

As I mentioned last month, OT was not a good fit for me because it was causing body changes that I didn’t want, i.e. my arms becoming too muscular. I knew ClassPass would help me get back on track, because there are quite a few offerings in the Pilates and Barre categories. Right now I am doubling up on classes from the following Houston studios: Define for Barre class & Body Rock for Pilates Reformer.SB LDN Workout gear, Sweaty Betty Worth the price workout leggings

What I love about these classes is the following: small motions that help make big changes in your tone and body shape; the use of lighter weights, but heavy amounts of repetition that again help with toning; and of course, how sore I feel (the good sore!) after each class. It’s one of the best feelings ever! Yes, I’m more tired in the evening, but I’ve also seen an uptick in my ability to wake up and not feel groggy in the morning, as well as a lack of an afternoon slump!

I’m hoping to be able to stick to a three times a week workout routine to kick things off, then perhaps move up to four or five workouts. Now that the weather has cooled off, I’m starting to fit in a few more outdoor walks with Rick and Lucy, too.

And if you’re still with me, this far… I can’t recommend to you enough these workout leggings. They’re my absolute favorite at the moment and worth every penny! I’m a huge fan of the leggings that tuck and hold you in, and these Sweaty Betty leggings are just that. I took my regular size small and they fit perfectly. Definitely check them out if you’re on the hunt for a new pair of tried and true leggings!

Now that I’ve found a routine I’m enjoying, hopefully the variety will help me stick to my plan. I’d like to fit in at least four workout classes a week and get myself into shape in time for the holidays. When I say into shape, it really is just toning myself up and taking care of my body when it comes to eating and indulging on sweets, that come so easy with the holiday season. In the meantime, I’m working on not putting too much pressure on myself to be perfect, and just trying to workout as often as I can.

And ps, if you’re interested in trying out ClassPass for yourself, they’re running a deal right now where you can receive $40 off your first month’s purchase! Simply sign up here.

I’ll be back before yearend with another update, thanks for reading!

Great post! OTF is definitely not for everyone, sounds like Class Pass is a much better match. Getting some errors on the links 🙁

      Hi there,
Unfortunately they’re from last fall, so they may be sold out at this point. These are the same style, just in solid black – http://bit.ly/2Iqrk8b hope they work!
