Just in time for the fall season, here today to share a delicious fall beverage and seasonally styled bar cart. Everyone that knows me knows I love a good margarita, so here’s my take on the fall inspired margarita: the Spiced Orange Clementine Margarita for Autumn. Read on for the recipe and other details.Â
Bar cart // Glass hurricanes & Pillar candles // Velvet Pumpkins // Glass bowl // Mini pumpkin filler // Bottle Opener // Low-ball glasses // Linen coasters
Now that we’ve been in our home for over a year and a half, I’m finally feeling settled to do some additional decorating with each season, and truly enjoying doing so. After months of vacillating, I finally caved and purchased a bar cart. Not only is it cute in different corners of my living room and dining room, but it serves as a nice bit of extra space when entertaining!
I’ve never really been an orange and black Halloween decorations sort of gal, but after seeing tons of neutral decorations, including ivory and metallic faux pumpkins, I knew I could decorate in our home for Fall/Halloween in a way that worked for my personal aesthetic.Â
I actually DIY’d the greenery on the bar cart with a few packs of greens from my neighborhood Trader Joe’s. I didn’t even use any gardening wire or tape, just twisted the greens and Eucalyptus around the bar cart for a fresh and easy look.
Now, no bar cart is complete without a tasty cocktail! I love a good margarita and have been having fun modifying the classics for each season. I saw some Orange Clementine sparkling soda at TJ’s and wanted to try it in a cocktail. I came up with tasty Spiced Orange Clementine Margaritas for Autumn and they’re just as cozy and tasty as they sound!Â
Spiced Orange Clementine MargaritaÂ
1/2 cup Tequila (I personally use Pura Vida)
1/2 cup Trader Joe’s sparkling Orange Clementine soda (comes in a glass bottle)
1/4 cup fresh squeezed lime juice
1/4 cup water
1-2 fresh oranges
Agave syrup to taste (I found some needed a hint and some didn’t depending on how sweet or tart one enjoys their margarita!)
A pinch of cinnamon, cardamom and nutmeg
Fresh Cinnamon sticks for garnish
Measure out respective liquids, except sparkling soda, and add to cocktail shaker. Add more water and/or lime juice depending on how tart or sweet you’d like the drinks. Add Agave syrup as needed. Shake, shake, shake! Add ice and shake again. Measure the TJ’s sparkling Orange Clementine soda and pour into shaker, stir (do not shake, carbonation will cause the liquid to fizz out onto your floor or countertops). Pour over ice and garnish with a fresh orange wheel or slice and a cinnamon stick. You can also squeeze fresh oranges into the drink for added refreshment.Â
And for those of you who don’t have a Trader Joe’s nearby, I recommend substituting the TJ’s brand soda for San Pellegrino Clementina flavored soda. However, this specific soda will not have the orange coloring, which normally adds to the festive orange color. If you use this soda flavored water in your recipe, I recommend cutting out the additional water and squeezing some fresh oranges as well as limes in the cocktail mixture. Hope you enjoy this spiced Orange Clementine margarita for autumn, Cheers!
