Summer Stripes Two Ways

Good morning, friends! Today I’ve teamed up with my blogger gal pal, Emily of Dear Serendipity to show y’all both our takes on dressing in summer stripes for the season.

Em and I have teamed up on previous outfit posts (here) and we love sharing each other’s take on a style or trend. While I live in hot and humid Houston, Emily and her blog, Dear Serendipity are based in mild and sometimes foggy San Francisco.

As you can tell we certainly dress for our respective climates in our summer stripes. I opting for an easy, breezy cotton dress and slide sandals, while Em styles her cute white denim and a gauzy top. Catch the full post on Emily’s blog here.

Stripes are a go-to in my closet, so when two of my favorite things, stripes and the off shoulder are paired into one, I most definitely cannot resist. This easy cotton dress is comfy and cool during the warm summer days. I’ve also worn it as a pool cover up too. Lucky for you, I found it on sale (linked above). It’s the perfect dress for an outdoor bbq or concert.

I’ve dressed it down with some budget-friendly slide sandals, but it could easily be dressed up with a pair of espadrilles or wedge sandals.
