Nordstrom Anniversary Sale 2016: Top 6 buys

The biggest sale of the year is here, the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale! And while it’s not officially open to the public until Friday, July 22nd, you have early access today if you’re a Nordstrom cardholder. Don’t worry though, you can still apply to be a cardholder and the coolest part is that there is a credit and debit option (meaning the debit will withdraw directly from your bank account, no credit card payments to be fooled with).

It can be difficult to navigate this sale, a bit overwhelming at most, so I’ve taken the liberty of narrowing down my top 6 Nordstrom Anniversary Sale 2016 buys. These are items that I personally can attest to, highly recommend or know will most likely sell out in the coming days!

Barbour Jacket // This waxed cotton waterproof jacket is one of the best investments you’ll ever make. And I’m not just saying this to say it. I can back this up with the fact that I have a Barbour jacket and so does my dad. We wear ours everywhere and bring them everywhere with us come fall and winter. It’s one of those pieces that you purchase once, and if you take care of it, you’ll have it forever. See previous posts here and here with my Barbour Jacket.

Classic handbag // I always suggest snagging a classic bag during this sale, because a lot of them just don’t go down in price until after the season is over. I’m still loving the bucket silhouette, but with updated and modernized lines. This leather bag is perfect for year around carry, I love the camel color but also find myself gravitating towards the cranberry color – perfect for fall and winter! The best part? This bag clocks in at under $245 and looks so much more expensive than the price.

Cool Sunglasses // So, I may or may not be a self-professed sunglasses hoarder. Okay, I’m not a hoarder, but I do have my fair share of sunnies and honestly I can’t help but add another pair to my collection during the Anniversary Sale. It’s just too hard to say no. I am loving this super cool silhouette by Illesteva. It’s one of their classic shapes, and looks good on so many different face shapes. If you have a little more room in your budget, then you might think about picking up a pair of Dior So Real sunglasses – I have yet to ever see them go on sale – and at some $200 less than the original price, they’re quite the steal. These will without a doubt go low-stock quickly or sell out. I love my pair!

Fragrance set // One of my all time favorite fragrance makers, hands down, is Jo Malone. This set is just too good to pass up. Some of my favorite scents are here, and in the oh-so-perfect travel size I’m always on the hunt for. Five different scents are included in the set, with one of my favorites Peony & Blush Suede inside. There are a lot of great beauty finds at the Anniversary Sale, and quite frankly my favorite thing about snagging things out of the beauty department, is that they’re evergreen and can be used now and later. Other notable beauty finds include: cult-favorite Diptyque scented candle set, the Drybar ‘Beach in a Box’ collection and a T3 hair dryer.

Tory Burch riding boots // Need I say more? The quintessential pair of riding boots, that’s been a must-have for years and will remain for years to come. If you’re on the fence about snagging a pair of boots in July, I don’t blame you! However, you will be kicking yourself come late-September or October when you need that pair of riding boots to compliment so many outfits and you didn’t pick them up at almost half off the original price. Just do yourself a favor and grab these while you can, because they always have and always will sell out.

Watch // If you’re looking for a timeless watch, that will never go out of style, then this Michelle watch is right up your alley. I have a Michelle watch and rarely go anywhere without it. To find a watch like this with the steel band and encrusted with diamonds is pretty difficult for the quality at under $1000.

I could’ve given y’all so many more #Nsale picks, but chose to narrow it down to my top 6 Nordstrom Anniversary Sale 2016 buys because it’s much better to enter the sale with an identifiable plan, “I need this piece to add to my wardrobe” or “I’m looking for a classic handbag that will go with everything”.
