The Grammys are their own beast. A seemingly more casual event, no tables with champagne and wine flowing, less intimate in the monstrosity of Staples Center… to say the least, I wasn’t really expecting any huge fashion wins for the evening… but then on E’s coverage before going to commercial, came Rihanna stepping out in regal elegance in the most divine red Alaia gown, long locks and ethereal makeup. I think it’s safe to assume who my best dressed winner was… even her costume changes were marvelous! In a close tie with Ri Ri came Kelly Rowland who also knocked it out of the park. As for Florence Welch, she’s about the only gal I know who can pull of a Givenchy dinosaur inspired dress! Who were your hits and misses for the night?

Totally agree – Rihanna could not have picked a better dress. Like 110% perfect!! Too bad her PDA with Chris Brown was so nauseating. I loved Kelly’s dress too, even though looking too closely makes me a little uncomfortable. Haha but she definitely looked flawless!
