It’s easy to get wrapped up in the continuous hoopla that is New York Fashion Week (NYFW), so a few blogger gal pals and I decided we needed a little time to ourselves Saturday morning for a fun girl sesh –  complete with Starbucks coffee, macarons, glossy magazines and comfy PJs. Fellow Houstonians Lauren of Sunday Beach and Brittany of BNB Styling, along with my new New York friend Christine of The View From 5 ft. 2, and I gathered together before setting out on our busy Saturday for a little girl talk and fun at The Empire Hotel (of course gossiping was included, xoxo).

It was definitely a nice little respite before venturing out into the cold to cozy up in our Plum Pretty Sugar boyfriend sleep shirts, with coffee in hand, magazines and plenty of laughable moments. Next up on my Plum Pretty Sugar wish list is a Plum Pretty Sugar for BHLDN robe to lounge around my house in; brides out there, hope you’re reading; so perfect for snapshots while getting ready (love this silk ombre robe for the bride and the painted petal robes for the bridesmaids)!

I hope any ensuing Fashion Week trips include a little “me” time for my friends and I – definitely necessary to not only rest our feet from heels, but to decompress from the running back and forth from Lincoln Center and warm up from the frigid temps outside.
