As a girl, it’s safe to say I have dreamt of my fair share of princess moments – I’ve been fortunate enough to experience a few: settling on my dress for Cotillion, picking out a prom dress, twirling in Carolina Herrera skirts at their Galleria store. But I must say nothing has compared to this experience when I tried on this navy Madison Ave. Collection Alixi dress. The moment I slipped it on, one of those surreal princess moments that we’ve all dreamt of came over me; and just like Cinderella, the final touch – a glam pair of heels – the perfect combo of glittery pumps with pom-pom feathers, had me feeling like a character straight out of a Disney movie.

As I’ve mentioned before (see here), the Kate Spade Madison Ave. Collection is a rather limited line sold only online or in their Madison Ave. location. Each piece is made in extremely limited quantities and sizes, so to have had the pleasure to twirl and feel that princess moment for some time on our first day of Fashion Week, was rather surreal. The craftsmanship of the Madison Ave. Collection pieces, had me in awe; I felt as if I were wearing a couture dress, fit for a movie star on a red carpet. The embellishments at the neckline were simply divine – speaking entirely for themselves with no need for any over-the-top accessorizing. Believe me, if you have a need for this dress in your life (and perhaps a little extra funds…), than you must pull the trigger asap… then call me so I can borrow it!
