Ready to transition into fall? With Pumpkin Spice Lattes readily available and college football Saturdays, I’m feeling more and more ready for fall. But unfortunately Mother Nature isn’t exactly cooperating. Mixing in some fall pieces  like this Madewell Gingham check button-down, is key.
I’ve got a bit of a funny story about this outfit. I got together with Ailee to shoot and realized that I had left the bottom half of this outfit at home. Fortunately I had this dress for an outfit you’ll see soon, and in the words of Tim Gunn, had a “make it work” moment.
I love Madewell‘s oversized button-downs. They’re some of my favorites on the market and fit great into fall wardrobes. I picked up my Madewell Gingham check button-down last weekend in preparation for a fun event I’m hosting with the Madewell in Highland Village.

There are so many adorable pieces right now including popovers and button-downs. The shoes are so great. These ankle-strap flats come in the black suede (that I’m wearing) and a tan suede with grommets. I also snagged these super cool 90s-esque leather mules.
