There aren’t many more things I love in a wardrobe then a classic shirtdress. Add to it some black and white gingham, and the gingham shirtdress is a must for summer.

I’ve raved a lot about gingham and shirtdresses as of late, I know (last seen here and here), but they two pieces that are effortless and evergreen. This gingham shirtdress runs a little big, so I sized down to an extra-small.

It has been so unbelievably hot and humid here in Houston so frankly I’ve been living in easy-to-toss-on dresses. I also love the linen stripe version, it’s on sale too!

I paired the shirtdress with a pair of wedges in these shots, but I’ve also been wearing it with my trusty Jacks as well as my go-to metallic flip-flops.

On a sidenote, are y’all ready for the kickoff of the biggest sale of the year?? The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale begins tomorrow for cardholders. Why is this the biggest sale of the year, you might ask?

Well, for starters, this sale is unique from others. It starts backwards. Instead of marking down originally priced items for quick sale, Nordstrom is marking down pre-fall and fall items that are new arrivals for a select few weeks and then prices go back up.
